The mission of the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort is to collect, preserve, research, document, and interpret the maritime history, culture and environment of Coastal North Carolina.
The mission of the North Carolina Maritime Museum’s Education Department is to offer visitors the opportunity to learn about the natural and maritime history of coastal North Carolina through creative, hands-on experiences. Programs are offered year-round ranging from one hour to nine days long and include programs designed specifically for groups from preschool to adult.
The North Carolina Maritime Museum hosts over 200 groups every year and looks forward to your group’s visit. Groups are invited to schedule a visit during normal museum hours. There is no admission fee, but there is a charge for some programs and field trips.
