04 Nov Boat built at Watercraft Center featured in new film
The craftsmanship at our Harvey W. Smith Watercraft Center is currently on display on the big screen.
A Periauger featured in the new film Harriet was constructed at our Watercraft Center by The Periauger Project, a partnership of our museum, the Perquimans County Restoration Association, Perquimans County and East Carolina University’s Program in Maritime Studies. Construction on the historic replica of the long-lost Colonial boat began in 2003. The boat belongs to the Perquimans County Restoration Association and is housed at the 1730 Newbold-White House in Hertford.
