SUMMARY:Murder Mystery Dinner: "Quiet on the Set!"
DESCRIPTION:Think you have what it takes to solve a coastal cold case? Step into a night of secrets and suspense at the North Carolina Maritime Museum’s Murder Mystery Dinner!\n\nA crime has unfolded right among the museum exhibits\, and the culprit is lurking in the crowd. Interrogate the suspects\, track the clues\, and enjoy a delicious catered dinner while you piece together the mystery.\n\n\nThe evening’s story…\nThe Filming of the fictional show\n“Murder\, Mystery\, & History”\nSeason 13\, Episode 1: A Revolutionary Treasure\nAiring on the S.E.A. Network\nFilmed in front of a live audience at the NC Maritime Museum in Beaufort\n\n\nDuring the winter of 1777-78\, General George Washington and his army camped in Valley Forge\, Pennsylvania. The army desperately needed food and clothing.\nOn January 19\, 1778\, the Continental Congress called for pork\, salt\, blankets\, tents\, clothing\, and other supplies for General Washington’s army. North Carolina answered the call.  A route was quickly chartered to ferry supplies in through inlets and via North Carolina’s inner waters to complete the delivery.\n\nWhile most of the smuggled goods were manufactured goods\, there is a legend of a lost treasure: A local resident\, Mary Artie\, has come forward with papers showing her ancestors sent a collection of coins and jewels through the coastal route only to have it disappear before reaching its final destination.  Miss Story is coming to Beaufort to meet with both the family and Chris P. Bacon\, a local historian\, who believes he has located the lost treasure intact and forgotten for 250 years right in Beaufort\, North Carolina!\n\nReservations are required for the dinner\, which is open to ages 18 and up. Tickets\, which go on sale June 1\, are $85 ($80 for Friends of the Maritime Museum\, which sponsors the event) and include dinner and the show. A cash bar will be available.
