DESCRIPTION:On February 20\, 1777\, an army supply transport flying British colors\, the brigantine Hanover\, appeared in the Neuse River just a few miles from New Bern. Excitement swept through the town and locals set out to capture this British vessel. When New Bern residents boarded the brigantine\, they discovered that the crew had mutinied against its captain. This is the story of Hanover‘s crew and the fate of this sailing vessel in revolutionary North Carolina.
