Boo-Fort Halloween

October 29, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Come for the treats, stay for the tricks! Our inaugural Boo-Fort Halloween will feature Trunk or Treat, Haunted Trail and a drive-in showing of “Night of the Living Dead” at our Gallants Channel Annex.
Trunk or Treat: 4-6 p.m.
Free (donations accepted)
Museum staff, volunteers, and supporters will host this fun trick or treating style event for all ages (while competing for the coveted “Most Creative” ribbon). Want to host a “trunk”? Email christine.brin@ncdcr.gov to sign up!
Trail of Terror: 4-6 p.m.
$5 per person (8 and under free)
Enter if you dare! The students from the East Carteret High School Film Club will be haunting the nature trail at the Gallants Channel Annex. (This event may not be appropriate for younger children.)
Night of the Living Dead Drive-In Movie: at sunset (around 6:30 p.m.)
Free (donations accepted)
While this classic 1968 low-budget horror movie is not as violent and gory as later horror movies, there are still plenty of violent moments. There is occasional mild profanity and some cigarette smoking. No pre-registration or fee. However, parking is on a first-come, first served basis.

Registration and Refund Policy:

Registration costs, less a 10% fee, are refunded when the museum receives cancellation notice at least 48 hours before the start of a program. There is no refund within 48 hours of the start of a program, and tickets cannot be transferred to a later program date within that 48 hour timeframe. Due to material costs and supply, Harvey W. Smith Watercraft Center Courses require a 2-week notification for cancellations; only the course fee is refunded if cancellation occurs prior to 2 weeks. The Museum reserves the right to cancel any program that does not meet the minimum participant requirement up to one week before the program is scheduled. In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, participants who have submitted a fee will receive a full refund. If a program is canceled due to inclement weather and unable to be rescheduled for another date, the participants will receive a full refund.
